Our hope is that you will find The Edward Harris House a sanctuary that will allow you to rest, rejuvenate, and leave refreshed.   

Tucked in a historic residential setting between East and Park Avenues of Rochester, NY - The Edward Harris House has always been a landmark in the community. Originally owned and built by The Harris/Sloan family - this grand home has been welcoming friends, old and new with warmth and hospitality since 1896.

While we try to anticipate many of your needs, we describe our Innkeeping Style as one of unobtrusive comfort, warmth and informality. Making it a restful environment in which to enjoy quiet time together, or rest after a long day of work.   

Breakfast

For your convenience, host your next business breakfast or lunch meeting on premises. Enjoy the comfort of the Salon, Library (fireside) or seasonal garden patio amongst the flowers- providing an imaginative alternative to the generic hotel experience. Please contact the Inn and we will be happy to tailor your gathering to meet your needs. Pamper yourself with our ensuite breakfast service.

  
The Formal Dining Room

Our spacious suites and upper floor guest rooms are as individual as you are. All guest rooms are individually designed spaces with your comfort in mind. Enjoy a welcome basket of chocolates, nibbles, and bottled water, overhead fans, air conditioning (seasonal), phones, cable TV and wireless internet (Wi Fi) throughout combining the original beauty of the mansion - with the functionality of our modern world needs.

                                                              The Garden Suite

We have chosen ultra plush bedding, fluffy down comforters, pillows and bedding throughout each room. Newly renovated private en suite baths with large tiled showers are well appointed with rain showerheads, towel warmers, English toiletries, hairdryers, iron/boards and luxurious robes to wrap yourself in. Most guest suites have fireplaces for added ambiance.

 The Library

Located just a 10 minute drive from the Rochester International Airport, minutes to area businesses such as Kodak, Bausch and Lomb, Xerox, and The Harris Corporation. We are convenient to all Rochester area colleges and universities including The Eastman School of Music, St. John Fisher College, Nazareth College, RIT and the University of Rochester River Campus.
